As already stated in the preceding AAL newsletter it is intended to establish a closer cooperation between the AAL Association and European regions making use of assistive technologies and systems solutions. For a first exchange of information on regional activities, the AAL Association and representatives of 7 regions in Europe met in Brussels in June this year. The workshop comprised presentations of the regions and discussions on regional problems resulting from demographic change and on possible contributions deriving from assistive technologies. Short regions profiles covering Östergötland (SE), Baden-Württemberg (DE), Limburg (NL), Puglia (IT), Trentino (IT) and the Parma (IT) region are now available on the AAL homepage:
