THOR (click here for the pre-proposal) addresses a scenario with a high demand of action for AAL. Due to its coverage of the holistic care-chain (a Finnish elderly is still in care by the Finnish doctor) it may likely be accepted by the elderly.

The focus is in line with the call topic prevention and management, and makes heavy use of ICT. The business case is cross-European too and will require certain care within the project (who pays for what?)

 

The consortium consists of an overseeable no. of organisations of 3 AAL countries. The large telecoms may ensure the market introduction whereas the Finnish SME may stand for new service concepts to be added.

It seems to fit pretty good into the call topic.

I find this proposal very good in many ways and have supported the Finnish partners (especially Coronaria Impact) in their work in prepairing the proposal. As far I know Coronaria has taken the role of coordinating the wholeness, that is why they have been active in doings

As Anne Kaarnasaari said this project will not encourage people to travel more and develop ICT products for that. The main idea is to encourage the retired people to take care of their condition and healthness using a healthcare platform while living in their second home being in contact with their family doctors and using their mother tongue. Thus the quality of the e-care service will improve.An other important part of the system is to have and get real-time personal health data both when staying at home or second home.
