System to facilitate
living at home for people with Chronic Obstructive PULmonary DISsease
posted to Hartmut Strese on 11 July 08. Countries involved: Sweden, Germany, Spain, Italy

The proposal addresses a relevant condition and works on the establishment of a telemonitoring system that applies commercial sensors. The measured parameters are physical activity,
heart arrhythmias, blood pressure, oxygen saturation of the blood (SaO2),
body weight, blood concentration of glucose, concentration of Haemoglobin (Hb),
vital capacity of the lungs, and finally heart and lung sounds - all can be used to develop services to elderly people concerning prevention and management of conditions. The two hospitals will run tests in Sweden and Italy.

Sufficient AAL Partner States are included. The range of partners could encompass a further commercial partner as otherwise the results exploitation could be weak.
All in all: This is an interesting proposal which needs only a bit adaption.
Michael
