Delegates from following countries signed the incorporation act of the Ambient Assisted Living association in front of a Belgium notary on Wednesday, 19 September 2007: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.

Already today, confirmed expressions of interests to join the association have been expressed by Italy, Norway, Poland and Switzerland.

The 1st, unanimously elected Executive Board consists of following six representatives (left to right):

Treasurer Dr. Rafael de Andrés Medina (Spain, ISCIII); Vice-President Mr. Pekka Kahri (Finland, Tekes); President Dr. Gerhard Finking (Germany, BMBF), Vice-President Dr. Nakita Vodjdani (France, ANR), Vice-President Reinhard Goebl, (Austria, BMVIT) and Vice-Treasurer Dr. Leo Van de Loock, (Belgium (Flanders), IWT).
