The joint workshop of AAL and German VDE
presents a general overview of structure, terms, definition and usage of the standard family ISO IEEE 11073.
Interoperability is based on different levels. An important one is the definition and transmission of structured data. There is one already available standard published by ISO IEEE. Based on this ISO IEEE 11073 standard family a developement guidance for AAL, personal health was created. 200 companies worldwide started to implement it in their devices.
A szenario is set up. Following this sample the requirements of this ISO IEEE standard familiy are demonstrated.
The results of the workshop will lead to a common understanding that the usage of interoperability is an essential requirement for the acceptance of AAL applications in the market and therefore for their economical success. Therefore the fullfillment of interoperability requirements has to be part of the contents of further AAL calls.
The workshop will be held on the 9th September 2009, from 1 - 5 p.m. alongside the World Congress 2009 at the International Congress Centre in Munich (Room "Königsee", 2nd floor).
Attendance is free of charge (attendance is independent from World Congress tickets) but registration via the following website is required via:
