This workshop takes place on the occasion of the AAL-Forum in the Vienna Hofburg, 29th September–1st October, which serves as a kick-off event of the international conference series of the Ambient Assisted Living - Joint Programmes (AAL-JP). In future graduate schools should be established in regular intervals within the AAL Forum.

We welcome young scientists from various disciplines (geriatrics, engineering, architecture, informatics, psychology, sociology, nursing sciences, economics, etc.) investigating technical solutions for older adults. Depending on the number of participants either guided poster sessions or short oral presentations (10 minutes) will be requested.

For selected participants of this young researcher workshop the registration for the AAL-Forum will be free. Travel expenses and accommodation costs cannot be reimbursed from the Vienna congress organisation.
