1. Bernd Marin confirmed as Keynote Speaker at the AAL Forum 09
This autumn the AAL FORUM 09 (29 September – 1 October 2009) in Vienna will be the major meeting place in Europe for academic experts, industry stakeholders and policy makers in the field of innovative ICT solutions for older persons. Renownded speakers and organisations have confirmed their participation and the programme plus the accompayning exhibition will present the state-of-the-art in Ambient Assisted Living research and Active Ageing technology.
2. AAL/VDE Joint Workshop on Interoperability in AAL
The workshop will be held on the 9th September 2009, from 1 - 5 pm during the World Congress 2009 on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering in Munich.
3. AAL 2nd Call for Proposals – Evaluation and next Steps
The AAL second call for proposals “ICT based solutions for Advancement of Social Interaction of Elderly People” was closed 5 May 2009. 104 proposals were received and have been evaluated.
4. AAL and the Regions – Region Portraits now online
For a first exchange of information on regional activities, the AAL Association and representatives of 7 regions in Europe met in Brussels in June this year. Region portraits from this workshop are now available online.
5. Job Vacancies at the AAL Association
The AAL Association (AALA) - the implementation body of the AAL Joint Programme - is currently looking for a motivated and skilled personnel for its administrative department:
