SMartSE

The SmartSE project will develop a proof of concept for a digital solution for matchmaking of senior competence to the needs of start-ups, in cooperation with relevant business and end-user stakeholders from 4 European countries.

Objectives of the small collaboration project

O1. UNDERSTANDING Identify senior needs and relevant access points / recruitment pools for Senior Entrepreneurship in 4 countries in Europe: Norway, Denmark, Netherlands and Romania

O2. CONCEPTUALISING Develop a proof of concept (POC) for a matchmaker tool, with a focus on a European wide curated community database and competence bank.

O3. TESTING Test prototype/POC in the 4 partner countries ( Norway, Romania, Netherlands and Denmark )  in order to assess the market potential.

End-user involvement will include both seniors and startups.

Objectives

The aim of the SmartSE project is to develop and test the concept for a digital matchmaker tool that connects seniors with startups in need for their competence to a European level. A greater focus on skills and competencies among seniors, will increase the demand and thereby employment among seniors. The Startup ecosystem is an important workplace generator, and also in need of competency in order to succeed. By focusing on both seniors and the start-up ecosystem, the SmartSE will be addressing a life-long perspective of active working and healthy ageing .

Expected results and impact

The outcome of the small collaboration project is a first version of SmartSE, a European-wide digital matchmaking tool meant to encourage senior entrepreneurship and provide valuable expertise to the start-up ecosystems. By lowering the threshold of trying new possibilities, and offering a flexible solution to use their competence, time or money, we keep seniors longer in work and give them a way to use their professional, human and financial resources to create solutions for a better society. In addition we will also strengthening the ecosystem around entrepreneurship in the Europe.
