Brainstorm & Hackathon

How can ICT and/or Gaming Optimize (Remote) older adults wellbeing?

Ambient assisted technology (AAL) plays a prominent role in increasing the quality of life and autonomy of the older adults. Through new and innovative ICT solutions, the aging population can take more control of their own health and well-being in the long-term.

Do you have any experiences, opinions or ideas on how ICT and/or gaming can optimize older adults care and well-being? Two hands-on sessions will be organized during the AAL Forum 2015 to provide you with a platform to share your ideas with the European AAL community.

• Brainstorm Session on the Role of ICT and Gaming for Older Adults Well-being September 22, ICC Ghent

Organized by Microsoft Innovation Centre (MIC) Flanders, this creative brainstorm session seeks to address the challenges posed by an ageing society to optimize the quality of life or older adults. It gives participants the perfect opportunity to share and discuss their opinions and ideas on new products/services and potential solutions.

Have you identified a key challenge or a growing need in this domain? Don’t miss out on this opportunity to raise it in the discussion. Send your ideas, needs and/or opinion via email to leen.verschraegen@micvlaanderen.be.

Newly-formulated challenges and needs that will arise may also be used as topics for the Hackathon, which will take place on September 23 and 24.
