Unfolding successful AAL solutions: AAL regional workshop and presentation of the 2015 call

Where: European Summit on Innovation for Active and Healthy Ageing, The Square (Room 310), Brussels

When: March 10th from 14.00 to 16.00

The context of the event

The Summit on Innovation for Active and Healthy Ageing (9 and 10 March 2015) aims to engage Europe’s leaders to co-create a shared vision on how Europe can address the challenges and seize the opportunities arising from demographic change through ICT and innovation.

The workshop

This workshop aims at introducing the AAL Programme 2015 call for proposals and to offer visibility to some success cases of AAL solutions implemented at regional level in Europe. The regional participation in AAL projects will be presented via a specific regional angle with the intention to open a real exchange of knowledge among regional players across Europe.  What are advantages of participating in an AAL project? What are the pitfalls and lessons learned? Is there enough evidence coming from the projects showing that the ICT solutions are truly benefitting the users from a public perspective? Are they replicable and scalable in other realities? These are some of the questions we will try to address during these two hours of interactive workshop. Along with the 2015 AAL call, four field cases will be presented as well as four major regional networks: Assembly of European Regions, ERRIN, Coral and CCRE.
