USER CONTEST AT THE FORUM
THE LATEST ICT-BASED SOLUTIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH MCI/DEMENTIA, INFORMAL CARERS AND PROFESSIONALS!
We kindly invite you to get acquainted with and give feedback on “AAL solutions” specifically developed to support people with (mild) cognitive impairments and dementia, informal carers and professional carers. AAL solutions are combinations of easy-to-use ICT/technology based products and services that can help people with MCI/dementia to live independently as long as possible. Solutions can help to independently carry out daily activities, to maintain social contacts and take
medication in time, to remind about appointments or physical exercise, to navigate outside and be localised when lost, to alarm carers if necessary, to provide safety and peace of mind of carers, to share tasks and chores, to coordinate care etc. etc.
USER SESSION
During the AAL FORUM, on 23 September, we organise a special ‘User session’: “Users/customers assess AAL solutions for people with MCI/dementia and their carers”. In this session the latest ICT based solutions are presented. Some are already entering the market, others are in the final stages of development. You can already familiarize with products that might be interesting for you – right now or at some time in the future. The developers would love to hear your opinions and ideas in order to address the wishes and needs of (potential) end users even better. Furthermore we will discuss your views on the potential of ICT, your opinions on the AAL systems that are developed and the topics that deserve better attention.
