The EWAHA 2020 is jointly organised by the Active Assisted Living (AAL) Programme, the EIP on AHA (European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing) and the Joint Programming Initiative More Years, Better Lives (JPI MYBL) and will take place from 2-6 November, 2020.

This year’s programme presents a variety of discussion themes for an exchange of ideas on the future of ageing in Europe and beyond. The session topics will focus on such areas as future health and care ecosystems, role of policy in mitigating and preparing for demographic change, concepts of wellbeing and the good life, as well as reflections on the ongoing effects of the current COVID-19 pandemic. Read the programme in detail HERE and prepare to register for the first-ever EWAHA 2020 on Tuesday, 20 October!

We have a great set of panellists already confirmed including the Vice-President of the EC and Commissioner for Demography and Democracy, Ms Dubravka Suica, the Independent Expert on the Enjoyment of Rights of Older Adults, Ms Claudia Mahler, Member of the European Parliament Mr Brando Benifei (S&D group) and Member of the European Parliament, Ms Sirpa Pietikainen (PPE Group), who will bring their perspective on an ageing Europe and on the future main policies in this area. Do not miss this opportunity to hear from the top policymakers in Europe!

All three initiatives, the AAL Programme, EIP on AHA, & JPI MYBL were set up in order to support Europe’s adaptations to an ageing society. The three have collaborated closely in 2019-2020 to unite their efforts. Now, they are putting demographic change more prominently onto Europe’s research and innovation agenda.

The free tickets will be available from Tuesday, 20 October! Follow the social channels of the AAL Programme to be the first to secure your ticket!
