Call for workshop proposals – deadline extended to September 1st

There is still time to submit a proposal and apply to host a workshop. The deadline has been extended to September the 1st 2023 17h00!!

Here’s your chance to share the many lessons learned over the past 15 years of AAL – and those we are still learning today as AAL solutions and services enter the market. Help to improve the quality of AAL projects and the many follow-up projects by hosting a workshop that will benefit you as well as delegates who attend. Be a part of the AAL Programme’s efforts to foster the exchange of knowledge throughout the AAL community and beyond for the remainder of 2023 and throughout 2024.

Topics that could be of interest to the community are:  going to private and/or public markets, financing start-ups and scale-ups, value assessment (and reimbursement) of digital care and support, ethical aspects in development and daily use of digital (care) solutions, quality labelling and certification of solutions, etc.

The AAL programme is providing this opportunity for the sharing of knowledge and experiences to all AAL partners through this call for workshops. Current and former AAL partners are encouraged to submit their proposals for a workshop and all will be considered by the AAL’s CMU.

Workshops will take  place between Sept 23 and June 24, and they can be online, hybrid or live. Some budget is available from AAL to those who host them.

More information about the workshops and details of how to apply can be found in the application form in the link, below. Briefly, the workshops should address the following:

Goal: The idea is that AAL partners come up with proposals for organising workshops that are of value to them. These workshops should be focused on stimulating the sharing of knowledge and/or lessons among AAL partners and other relevant stakeholders.

Who can apply: We reach out to all current and former AAL project partners to hand in concrete proposals. The partners do not necessarily need to execute the workshop themselves; they could also decide to hire an external expert for this. The AAL partners will lead the organisation of the workshop and the AAL programme can offer support.

What can you request: The AAL Programme has some budget available for aspects like: catering, technical aspects, a venue and workshop leaders/moderators. In the budget that you will propose for the workshop you should indicate how much you request from the AAL Programme in terms of contribution.

Deadline: We are looking forward to receiving your proposals by September the 1st. Proposals can be sent to the AAL Central Management Unit (CMU):  call@aal-europe.eu
