An opportunity to have your say in the direction of EU-funded research!

The European Commission has launched an online consultation to ask for the views of Europeans on its future research and innovation programme Horizon Europe to work together in shaping the direction and priorities of its future programme.

Horizon Europe is the largest multi-nation research and innovation investment framework in Europe, which is planned to have the budget of 100 billion euros in its next planning period of 2021-2027. Its goal is to fund research and innovation projects, which have the potential to change and adapt to the cross-border challenges we face today and in the future.

Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation has stated that “our common future will to a large degree depend on how successfully we work together to create valuable research and innovation. I am pleased to see that we are practicing what we preach as we now kick off the consultation on Horizon Europe with a period of unprecedented co-design including all interested parties.”

The AAL Programme stresses the importance of addressing the challenges arising from the demographic changes taking place in the region by funding research and innovation, which will create opportunities for the new silver economy.
