What types of projects does AAL fund?

AAL Call 2021 has been opened for applications, and this time we focus on aspects such as the support to inclusive health & care (health prevention, preservation of physical & mental health, social participation), the stimulation and upscaling of innovation in active & healthy ageing through health & care eco-systems and the accessibility of digital solutions to end users.

As in the last three calls, AAL is providing potential applicants to scale their idea according to the aim, size and requested funding through two kinds of projects.

Are you interested in applying for AAL funding? Are you not sure what kind of funding your proposal can get? What should you take in consideration when drafting your proposal? Read about the basic principles of an AAL project below!

All project proposals must involve end-users, especially secondary and tertiary- and other relevant stakeholders in the shaping of solutions and in creating respective markets and ecosystems.

  • Proposals to be submitted under this call will have to target either institutional or private markets.
  • For collaborative projects, the understanding of the ecosystem in which the solution will be implemented has to be properly described in the application form as it is the framework in which the project will take place.
  • Lastly, the proposals must have a European/international dimension, by taking in account differences in regions, cultures, languages, purchasing power and in national health care and social care systems.
