Workshops for the AAL community

The AAL (Active and Assisted Living) Workshops Programme is a dynamic initiative that brings the active ageing community together to share knowledge, exchange experiences and collaborate. By inviting current and former AAL partners to design and host these thematic workshops, the programme inspires dialogue across a wide range of stakeholders, from researchers and caregivers to innovators, business leaders and policymakers.

Workshop organisers are asked to address pressing issues, like tackling ecosystem integration and exploring market access, or the ethical and practical challenges of implementing digital solutions and the need for good communication strategies. Whatever the scope, the workshops are always selected based on their relevance and the impact they support. Other topics that have been addressed include financing and value assessment, certification and regulatory pathways.

The workshops are also designed to be inclusive. Calls have been open to all AAL partners, past and present, with organisers given the resources by the AAL Programme to bring their ideas to life. Financial and logistical backing is provided for venues, catering, technology and facilitation, or for hosting online or for hybrid events, ensuring all workshops are as accessible and effective as possible.

With new workshops coming soon, the programme continues to be a vital platform not only for the AAL and active ageing communities but also for engaging partners from other sectors, broadening our collective approach to creating real research impact, achieving market penetration and continuing to generate fresh ideas.

Please take your time and enjoy summaries from past workshops, details of upcoming workshops and stay tuned for new calls for workshop proposals.
